Chad S. Seifried

Chapter 93 in Elgar Encyclopedia of Historical Organisation Studies, 2026, pp 341-342 from Edward Elgar Publishing

Abstract: The Journal of Sport History (JSH) publishes academic studies, research notes and commentaries that cover all features, characteristics, viewpoints and outlooks related to the historical, cultural and social facets of sport. The journal also offers oral histories and book, film/media and museum reviews. Scholarship produced in JSH frequently explores the development of sport, leagues, products, services and spectators along with their impact on or connection to society, governmental practices, national or local economic conditions and business practices. JSH embraces a broad interpretation of sport and welcomes the use of theory and a diverse set of epistemologies to explore various related topics.
