Abstract:
Integrity and sustainability offer numerous opportunities to sport organizations and are critical to the sport industry's long-term viability, but they also present significant challenges. This chapter explores the intersections between integrity and sustainability, two concepts that have generally been studied separately, highlighting their intertwined natures and areas of application. By addressing the relationship between corruption, integrity and sustainability, the chapter underscores how important it is for sport organizations to operationalize integrity and sustainability and to integrate them into strategic planning and day-to-day operations. The insights provided will help current and future sport managers develop the knowledge and skills they will need to design and implement effective integrity and sustainability strategies and initiatives.
