Staking as a service
Arthur Carvalho
Chapter 47 in Elgar Encyclopedia of Cryptocurrencies, Blockchain and DLT, 2026, pp 230-233 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
Staking as a service (StaaS) has emerged as a key solution for democratizing access to proof-of-stake (PoS) networks, allowing users to participate in blockchain validation without managing the technical complexities of running a validator node. This chapter highlights the advantages and challenges of StaaS, including its role in reducing barriers to entry as well as associated risks.
