Abstract:
Digital verifiable credentials (VCs) are digital attestations of identity or qualifications that can be verified independently by any party. They use cryptographic techniques to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and authenticity of digital identity data. This technology allows for secure and trustworthy interactions in our increasingly digital world. Trustworthy relationships between the Issuer, Holder, and Verifier of VCs make a central identity provider obsolete. This offers advantages in security, privacy, and convenience for digital authentication and authorisation.
