Foundations of the Fair Wage approach confirmed

Daniel Vaughan-Whitehead ()

Chapter 1 in The Fair Wage Solution, 2025, pp 14-57 from Edward Elgar Publishing

Abstract: In this chapter, we revisit the Fair Wage approach that was presented for the first time 15 years ago. Somewhat exceptionally, experience over the years has confirmed all the same dimensions that we defined in the first place. The description of all Fair Wage dimensions, indicators, and questionnaires offered in this chapter will help more people to use the Fair Wage approach in their daily work on wages. We also strengthen the methodology by proposing five major drivers of change in this area, which will allow companies to remediate and also report on their Fair Wage achievements, as increasingly requested by investors and by EU and international legislation.
