Fair Wage plan of action
Daniel Vaughan-Whitehead ()
Chapter 6 in The Fair Wage Solution, 2025, pp 225-240 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
This concluding chapter presents a concrete action plan on Fair Wages, with 11 practical and complementary proposals aimed at putting wages at the core of companies’ sustainability strategies and stakeholder initiatives. This Fair Wage plan of action may provide the necessary leverage to ensure more sustainable wages and working conditions and thus more socially sustainable development. It may also help to curb the worrying trends reported at both global and micro levels concerning growing inequalities, expansion of the working poor, and heightened vulnerability and exclusion.
