Cultural bias

Annie Tubadji ()

Chapter 5 in Culture Based Development, 2025, pp 97-124 from Edward Elgar Publishing

Abstract: Cultural bias is the boundedness in choice resulting from the culturally filtered permissible set. The permissible set is derived based on a cultural filtering of emotions that leaves certain technically feasible prospects for choice outside the possible world in the current time and place. Cultural bias is determined in magnitude by cultural distance and is re-weighted into its precise size and defined as direction by cultural entropy.
