Abstract:
The convergence of artificial intelligence (AI) and the circular economy marks a transformative shift in business, management, and allied disciplines. A comprehensive bibliometric study has explored the intersection of AI and circular economy. With AI offering advanced capabilities for resource optimization, decision-making, and sustainable business practices, this study sheds light on how AI fosters the transition from linear to circular models. Using PRISMA guidelines and data from the Scopus database, 324 articles are analyzed through performance analysis and science mapping using VOSviewer and R-Studio software. Key insights reveal the rapid growth of research in this area, with India leading in publication volume and the UK excelling in citation impact. The analysis identifies five thematic clusters, focusing on AI's role in decision-making, sustainable development, and economic growth. The findings emphasize the significance of AI as a critical enabler in achieving sustainable goals with a circular economy paradigm.
