Regenerative businesses
Alessandro Inversini
Chapter 2 in Regenerative Hospitality, 2026, pp 24-41 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
When systemic thinking is applied, businesses also need to evolve, acknowledging their nature as living systems and adopting a regenerative approach. This redefines firms’ purpose, role in the interconnected ecosystems, and success metrics. Hospitality organizations should embrace the principles of teal organizations: self-management, wholeness, and evolutionary purpose to enhance resilience, responsiveness, and prioritizing human values alongside economic performance. In these businesses purpose is at the core, and strategy and operations are guided by their commitment.
