Place intelligence
Alessandro Inversini
Chapter 6 in Regenerative Hospitality, 2026, pp 90-102 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
In Regenerative Hospitality, place intelligence refers to the net positive responsibility towards the social ecosystem and the natural ecosystem. Place intelligence is the outer layer of regeneration in hospitality, complemented by people intelligence (the inner layer). Natural and social ecosystems are currently under strong pressure and net positive actions can foster restoration, enhancement, and regeneration. Regenerative hospitality organizations are guided by an authentic and deep respect for the natural and social environment, engaging in net positive initiatives leading towards a better understanding of the interconnected living systems.
