This study systematically explores AI research and technology frontiers through patent and academic data, clarifying concepts, clustering technologies, and forecasting evolution using ARIMA models. It reveals a “dual-track evolution” where industrial patents focus on engineering improvements, while academic research emphasizes disruptive algorithms. Findings highlight the need for collaboration among policymakers, enterprises, and academia to bridge the gap between innovation and application, promoting sustainable AI development and strategic resource allocation.
