Abstract:
Dairy farming is achieving sustainability through the circular economy framework, which entails developing procedures for the least amount of waste and optimal use of any resource, particularly in nutrient recycling, waste reuse, and resource efficiency improvement. However, applying the concept of the “round economy” to a developing country with limited resources, the dairy industry examines how intricate relationships and the feedback mechanisms they produce alter over time. Thus, the use of circular economy strategies and their impact on the dairy supply chain are examined in this article. A thorough case study and simulation model that examines the novel method of nutrient recycling, energy recovery, and process greening are also presented in this research. To promote economic and environmental sustainability, the suggested model would incorporate the ideas of the circular economy and the three Rs. In addition, this study highlights relevant leverage points and long-term effects for sustainable milk production. Consequently, dairy farmers, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and associated stakeholders can access propositions that ultimately assist them in sustainable milk production.
