Abstract:
This chapter explores the business models and economic challenges of next-generation video platforms, referred to as Video 4.0. The potential revenue streams for Video 4.0 companies are analyzed. They include hardware sales, advertising and marketing services, subscriptions, retail stores, commissions on transactions, and governmental subsidies. The chapter also discusses the role of artificial intelligence in advertising and marketing, including AI-to-AI marketing and the monetization of consumer attention. The economic viability of Video 4.0 platforms depends on various factors, including competitive pricing, market demand, and the ability to generate sustainable revenue streams.
