Abstract: This chapter describes the role of simulated patients/clients for teaching and learning activities in psychology, focusing on health psychology, for undergraduate and postgraduate cohorts. Drawing from published literature in psychology, health simulation, and health professional education, the authors provide examples of innovation and best practice and discuss common challenges and considerations. They then outline the advantages and disadvantages of simulation in health psychology education.
