Key foundations of quantum economics: its imperatives and principles
Christian Aspalter
Chapter 8 in Quantum Economics, 2025, pp 67-73 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
This chapter outlines and then fleshes out the key foundations of quantum economics. It will list and explain the main imperatives of quantum economic theory. In addition, the guiding principles of quantum economic theories are put forth and meticulously explained. Economic choices, and all economically relevant human choices, in quantum economics are always limited. The author concludes that personal choices seem to be free, but they are also limited in a myriad of ways. For this, neoclassical economics needs to be replaced (rather than rebuilt) from the inside out. This will be the subject matter of the following chapters.
