Sylvia Y. He is a Professor in the Department of Geography and Resource Management at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. In this chapter, Sylvia responds to a number of research-related questions, grouped under a total of 11 themes: (1) motivation; (2) research ideas and execution; (3) collaboration; (4) funding; (5) supervision; (6) publication; (7) reviewing and editing; (8) conferences and seminars; (9) communication and research impact; (10) time management; and (11) reflections and the future of transport research. Among other aspects, Sylvia reflects on the benefits of collaborating with researchers from other disciplines, challenges associated with time management, and the importance of setting career goals.
