Chapter 13 in Constructive Intercultural Management, 2026, pp 230-238 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
In the concluding chapter, we highlight the book's assumption that organizations, departments and teams can interact successfully with people from different cultural backgrounds. We consider that interculturality as a dynamic process of adaptation, learning and development, negotiated by individuals from diverse contexts, can – when managed in an appropriate way – lead to complementarity and synergy. We elaborate a systemic framework, summarize key factors that contribute to the constructive design of interculturality in organizations and show how organizations can leverage interculturality in eight steps.
