Chapter 4 in Constructive Intercultural Management, 2026, pp 59-77 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
In this chapter, we present three models for intercultural analysis, which can facilitate the constructive design of interculturality in organizations. The three-level model allows us to distinguish different levels of intercultural interactions as well as analyse the interrelations between micro, meso and macro levels. The three-step model helps to differentiate the specifics of cultural systems before conducting cultural comparisons and developing interculturality. The three-factor model highlights three factors – actors, cultures and institutions – that are likely to influence intercultural situations. Applying the three models can enable organizations to analyse and design interculturality in a constructive way.
