The institutionalisation of administrative sciences in the French-speaking world

Abstract: In France, the institutionalisation of administrative sciences is a result of the work done by the National Foundation for Business Management Education, the development of teaching and research in management sciences at universities, the expansion of business schools, the growing integration of management knowledge into engineering schools, the evolution of French business administration institutes, the creation of a higher education teaching qualification, and the doctorate and a ”management science” section (06) at the National Council of Universities. The dynamics observed in France are also found in other French-speaking countries. In this section, the experiences of Belgium, Quebec, Switzerland and Africa are also briefly reviewed, each of which has its own unique socio-historical context.
