Abstract: At the end of this analysis of French-speaking organisations and administrative sciences, the field seems to be at a crossroads, centred around a few key questions: What research topics should be prioritised? What methods should be used? What intellectual foundations should be relied upon? Which languages should be chosen for the dissemination of research? And what contributions should be developed in the current context marked by an anthropological crisis? These questions lead to conclude by returning to what the key factors are in answering them and thus maintaining a dynamic and vibrant French-language field: maintaining the relative autonomy of the field, developing a broad culture in the social sciences and life sciences, choosing relevant research questions, particularly those associated with the Anthropocene and the promotion of a new mode of socio-economic development, and never losing sight of the fact that organisations are human creations, the result of actor-subjects working within specific contexts.
