Abstract: Chapter 5 reconstructs Barcelona's resilience model by analysing its political-institutional context, spatial practices and socio-economic conditions through the nine analytical categories identified in Chapter 4. It shows how co-governance, participatory planning and neighbourhood-based initiatives generate adaptive capacity and social legitimacy. Green infrastructure is treated as both ecological and civic infrastructure, reinforcing climate justice and community engagement. The chapter highlights the city's multi-level governance, its culture of experimentation and the iterative learning processes that link strategic ambitions with everyday practices. Barcelona emerges as a resilient learning system where cooperation and spatial innovation support long-term transformation.
