Abstract: In light of the 50th anniversary of Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)-Japan friendship and cooperation in 2023, the following measures are proposed to strengthen future ASEAN–Japan cooperation. Although they range from easily implementable to more arduous, these policy recommendations provide a clear, decisive path for ASEAN and Japan to collaborate in the future.
