Abstract:
The aim of the article is to analyse the entrepreneurial attitudes of self-employed women in Poland. The results of quantitative and qualitative research relate to the entrepreneurial characteristics of women who are running own business. The presented study started in August 2012 and was completed in January 2013. The research group were self-employed women who were running their companies in a sector of micro, small and medium enterprises. Quantitative research was carried out by using an anonymous internet questionnaire. As a part of qualitative research the author of the article conducted thirty-nine interviews in ten voivodships. The empirical part was preceded by theoretical deliberations which were devoted to entrepreneurial attitude described in the literature of the subject. Therefore the article has a theoretical and empirical character.
