Abstract: Change is not easy in a professional environment and it is even more challenging in our personal lives. In this chapter, I explore how we can all become champions of the transgender population. My interest in the transgender population started 3 years ago when my child came out as transgender. My daughter is now a son and I have become an ally of the LGBTQ+ community. I have learned to embrace the journey and am continuously learning how I can support and elevate the transgender community in myriad ways. I share the experiences that have shaped my life recently with the hope it might help others, particularly parents of transgender children, understand one simple idea: "you are not alone".
