Abstract: The academic ranks of teachers at private business schools are: professional assistant, lecturer, senior lecturer and professor. Candidates who apply to job express great diversity in academic degree, scientific, teaching and business experience. In making choices the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) methodology has been chosen since it breaks complex issues into a multitude of simpler questions that are more easily comprehended and addressed. The main criteria have been divided into quantitative (the costs of salaries and the school fees) and qualitative (scientific, teaching and professional business experience) criteria. A preference weight for each alternative is defined in accordance with the Croatian standards.
