Abstract:
The culture of organization is born within a company during its formation. All who are present form this new-born culture, which in time absorbs each individual's values and forms group DNA. In this thesis we explore the differences in culture between owners and employees. We analyse the results of the research we carried out with the help of OCAI authors Cameron and Quinn. People are complex beings and the same holds true for the culture of an organization. In conclusion, we find that the employees place emphasis on two preferred culture types (clan and hierarchy), while the owners prefer adhocracy and market culture. Only those companies which know how to adapt the culture of their organization to the circumstances which arise in their field are and will be successful.
