Abstract:
The objective was to identify links between innovation inputs and economic performance. The result is a structured set of influential factors which lead to innovation and economic outcomes. A systematical move from the non-innovative company towards the innovation follower and leader with a highest added value is also presented. We also found that the present innovation activity does not contribute to better economic results even with high-tech manufacturers. Therefore, the innovation management should be adapted as presented. We also concluded that it does not suffice to invest only into concrete innovative projects yet it is even more important to invest into an appropriate innovation management.
