in OUP Catalogue from Oxford University Press
Abstract:
This anthology examines the role of women in social protest movements in the US, Europe, Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Israel in a wide variety of contexts. The text considers four categories of protest: those resulting from economic hardship; racial, ethnic, or nationalist struggles; humanistic and global causes, such as nuclear disarmament and ecology; and feminist movements.
