Abstract:
Abstract The political requirements of preserving the wealth from a mineral discovery coincide exceptionally well with the funding of the politically popular basic income guarantee. Further, among the options for financing a basic income guarantee, revenues from a resource discovery are among the most palatable with the electorate. Marrying the processes and goals of basic income policies and the goal of natural wealth preservation advances each of these relative to pursuing them separately. These are claims that we will seek to justify in this chapter.
