Abstract: Abstract The final chapter brings together the critical themes emerging from each section of the book to explore new conceptions for safeguarding basic income over time, if it was to be implemented. For a new vision, basic income and associated rights together with new forms of society (just society) require protection from the political parties or policy directions that counter the fundamental foundation of basic income. This chapter will be appealing as it offers new critical insights into mechanisms that can safeguard basic income, such as embedding the principles and process within the constitution and a corresponding bill of rights.
