Chapter Chapter 2 in Debating Universal Basic Income, 2022, pp 23-30 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract By eliminating welfare notches, disincentive deserts, and benefit cliffs, UBI would ensure that everyone has something and, more importantly, incentive to strive. Everyone will have a fair chance of success with UBI because they will have financial and psychological security and time to obtain an education, start a business, or wait for better market conditions.
