Chapter Chapter 10 in Contours of Feminist Political Ecology, 2023, pp 231-257 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract In this chapter, we explore the topic of population in the context of the latest work by renowned feminist STS scholar Donna Haraway and her call to ‘make kin not babies’. We reflect on the explosive reactions among feminists to Haraway’s recent work by paying attention to emotions in population debates among feminist thinkers. Using an informal dialogue format, we engage at both a personal and scholarly level to map out the contours of feminist thinking about the fraught topic of population growth and population control.
