Chapter Chapter 1 in Rethinking Transitional Gender Justice, 2019, pp 1-14 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract The introduction draws out some key themes of the book, particularly the issue of ‘voice’ and the corresponding importance of listening to women and men directly affected by conflict and mass violence; building collaborative multidisciplinary partnerships between communities, scholars and practitioners and the central role of trust and confidence. The introduction then outlines the origins of the book, its structure in three parts and provides a brief outline of each chapter.
