Abstract:
Abstract This chapter is structured chronologically, with successive sections devoted to the period before 1870 (section 7.1); the treatment of Ricardo’s work during and after the ‘marginalist revolution’, between 1870 and 1936 (section 7.2); the very different assessment of Ricardo that was common after 1936 during the Keynesian revolution (section 7.3); and, finally, Ricardo in the age of neoliberalism, that is, since 1975 (section 7.4).
