Chapter Chapter 5 in Milton Friedman, 2019, pp 61-75 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract It is noted that Two Lucky People virtually ignores Friedman’s many visits to Britain. An account of that part of his life is given. It is argued that it is particularly peculiar that Friedman and Friedman found nothing to say about Friedman’s relationship with the Institute of Economic Affairs, since elsewhere he declared how much he valued it. It is noted that in the British press he often received a very hostile reaction. This and other possible reasons for the almost complete omission of discussion of his involvement in British affairs are considered.
