Abstract: Abstract This volume is about foreign direct investment in developing countries. The chapters were selected from papers presented at the Thirteenth Congress of the International Economic Association, held in Lisbon, Portugal in September 2002. To be included in this volume, a paper had to address some aspect of the topic, but some addressed it rather obliquely, and justification for their inclusion is noted below.
