Agricultural Growth in the Context of Economic Growth
Yair Mundlak
Chapter 12 in Economic Growth and Resources, 1980, pp 258-283 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract There is a considerable volume of work on the growth of the agricultural sector and its relationship to the overall growth of the economy. Some of this work is carried out under the title of a dual economy which consists of traditional, largely rural, and non-traditional, largely urban, sectors. It is not feasible to survey this work here and instead we concentrate on introducing the present framework.2
