Abstract: Abstract The mechanism of the international spread of inflation has received attention in recent writings by A. J. Brown, J. C. R. Dow and others.1 Professor Brown covered the years 1939 to 1951 ; Mr. Dow concentrated on 1946 to 1954. This paper considers mainly experience gained during the ’fifties.
