Abstract: Abstract To the ancient world, the antithesis of the sword — the symbol of war — was the balance — symbolizing trade — the relationship between nations that fostered peace and friendship. And today, too, it is foreign trade that knits together in peaceful coexistence states with contrasting socio-economic systems.
