Chapter Chapter 10 in Economic Problems of Agriculture in Industrial Societies, 1969, pp 209-233 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The account of concentration and rationalization trends in agriculture which I propose to give in this paper will be confined to certain countries in Western Europe and to the U.S.A. I shall not deal here with the socialist countries of Eastern Europe — partly because I have wished to limit the scope of my study, and partly because the course of concentration and specialization in those countries differs, both essentially and as to influences deciding it, from that in the Western European countries and the U.S.A.
