Abstract:
Abstract Complementarities and trade-offs between agriculture and industry are usually examined within the context of a commoditised economy and of a division of labour between the countryside and the city, the former being responsible for the production of foodstuffs and other agricultural produce, the latter for turning out industrial goods.
