Chapter 3 in The Balance between Industry and Agriculture in Economic Development, 1989, pp 43-56 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The population, no matter whether considered as producers or consumers, is an element that can never be ignored in the development of industrial and agricultural production. Changes in the quantity and characteristics of the population and its distribution between industry and agriculture, and between urban and rural areas, play a vital role, positive or negative, in a balanced growth of industry and agriculture.
