Abstract: Abstract After carrying out research for a number of years and writing technical papers on various issues related to the position of women in the labour market in Greece, I decided to do some more practical work about some of the problems that I had encountered.2 In my research I found that among the most serious problems for women in Greece were those faced by non-working educated women who wanted to re-enter the labour market after some years of absence from it because of family obligations. Under present circumstances this is extremely difficult because of extensive unemployment among university graduates, the drastic changes during recent years in the types of knowledge and skills required by the business world, and the prejudices that exist in the labour market against women and particularly against those who have not worked for some time.
