Risk and Uncertainty in the Management of Soviet Firms
Ivan M. Siroyezhin
Chapter Chapter 15 in Risk and Uncertainty, 1968, pp 359-374 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract In a socialistic order many factors which to a typical private enterprise are major sources of risk and uncertainty are of minor import-ance. However, this does not mean that risk and uncertainty are absolutely non-existent under socialistic manufacturing conditions. They exist, and they are factors which have to be taken into account in the process of management and decision-making. But under the socialistic socio-economic conditions, the nature of risk and un-certainty is different from that of a capitalist manufacturing economy.
