Chapter 24 in The Economics of Long-Distance Transportation, 1983, pp 326-347 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The theme of this paper is the role of economics in the development of transport policy within the European Economic Community. The best available advice and information is necessary in preparing the political actions of the European Commission in this important field. However, before the uses of economics in the development of the common transport policy are discussed, it would be useful to outline the framework within which Community policy develops.
