Chapter 6 in The Economics of Choice between Energy Sources, 1987, pp 119-145 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The economies of the world are in the process of adjustment and transition from oil dominated energy systems towards more balanced energy systems. The nature of this process is more complex than simply characterising it as one of broadening the base of the energy system. It is one touching upon the basis of economics. A critical and necessary element is increasing both the production and the productivity of the use of energy on a worldwide scale.
