Some New Thoughts on Migration and Development
Oded Stark
Chapter 12 in Economics in a Changing World, 1995, pp 250-265 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Since some is not one and could well be two, I will devote this chapter to two issues: (a) to voice a concern about the prevailing choice of the dependent variable(s) in research on migration and development, and (b) to draw attention to a new sphere of analysis, if I may call it that, which I consider fruitful and promising in accounting for migration.
