Abstract: Abstract The purpose of this paper is to describe the problems being faced by Thai agricultural exports, with principal emphasis on the appreciation of how these problems developed and the progress that has so far been made towards solving them. First, a brief survey is presented of the significance of agriculture to the Thai economy, and the role of agricultural exports to total exports. In later sections the principal problems of exports, both on the supply side and on the demand side, are identified, and possible solutions are discussed in the context of a review of each major commodity.
