Different Managers’ Roles in Implementing Change

James A. Christiansen

Chapter 6 in Competitive Innovation Management, 2000, pp 171-190 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract In a large corporation, it is unlikely that any one manager will be in a position to know how the company is managed with respect to all the dimensions identified in this book. It is even less likely that any one manager, even the CEO, will be in a position to change all the dimensions of management that may need to be changed for the company to have an optimally effective innovation system. Implementing a change program in a large company is inevitably a cooperative effort among a number of managers at different levels in the company.
