The Outlook
Pierluigi Ciocca
Chapter 10 in The Italian Financial System Remodelled, 2005, pp 233-235 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The Italian financial system, having completed the metamorphosis described here, now faces two important questions, taking into account the progress made to date and the shortcomings still to be overcome. The first concerns the outlook for Italy’s financial industry in the euro area and in the context of globalization. The second relates to the economy’s competitiveness and growth, in so far as they depend on the contribution of the financial system.
